Today, Sandy Barnard is on the show with us to discuss his new book, "George Armstrong Custer: A Military Life" published recently by South Dakota Historical Society Press. The man's life was larger than that fateful day. Certainly, George Armstrong Custer's most famous for his dramatic death in a ferocious battle in June 1876 against the Lakota and Cheyenne. He has done several projects for the National Park Service, and edited the newsletter "The Greasy Grass", or the annual magazine, "The Greasy Grass" so the Custer Battlefield Historical Museum Association.
